Letting go does not mean pushing away or negating thoughts or feelings that come to us – but instead being with the feeling. We start to feel that we are no longer victims of the stuff that happens to us. There is something we can do about it… if we just take a look at it. ~ Krishna Das
February 23rd Daily Meditation Moment
Grace surrounds us and holds us like the sky holds everything in it … and as soon as I find a way to let go of my story, I keep seeing over and over again that grace is always here and it includes the forgetting and the remembering. The practice is the opening of the hand to catch the raindrops, which are always falling. If you don’t open your hand, you get wet, but you don’t get much to drink. ~ Krishna Das
August 30th Daily Meditation Moment
We’re all victimized by the culture that we were born into. This culture doesn’t believe there is any way to be free of suffering. All we believe in, in this culture, is the more pleasure we get the better, the less pain the better. We have to hold on to the stuff that gets us off, and push away the stuff that hurts us. Those methods won’t work very well. This culture doesn’t believe in a love that isn’t based on selfishness. And real love is not based on selfish – it’s based on the true self, who we really are. ~ Krishna Das
April 20th Daily Meditation Moment
There is a way to deal with everything that arises in our lives. We might have to learn how but there is a way. ~ Krishna Das
November 30th Daily Meditation Moment
There is love in this world, and it lives within us as who we really are, not who we think we are. ~ Krishna Das
